There was a time, long ago, when being born female was a sacred blessing and honor. The earliest spiritual practices revolved around a direct attunement with a female life force, personified as a Great Goddess. Her realm included the Earth and the entire Cosmos. She spoke through the earth seasons and the cycles of the female body.. ??? Her presence guided the everyday lives of our ancestors for tens of thousand of years prior to patriarchal Gods who were using the threat of fear rather then the power of love to keep their followers loyal. Ironically history shows us that it is these religions that have been most responcible for the wars of the last 3000 years, including eight “Holy” crucades, slaughtering of Cathars, killing milions of people- mostly women during Inquisition and the massacre of the more then 100 000 000 Native Americans. And how have they done this? Through fear, emotional and spiritual blackmail ( you will be cast into Hell forever..) By subscribing to such a theological framework of God and Satan locked in eternal conflict, they have created an “us and them” mentality at the deepest level of the human psyche, dividing humanity again and again.. ??? And when we learn that Hel was the Norse Queen of the underworld and the original Earth womb of the Goddess, we understand why Christianity reversed and perverted its meaning.. And what we can find in the underworld? There are gems and stones and crystals and gold..✨✨✨ There is so much we have to unlearn and to remember if we want to heal ourselves from the wounding of patriarchy.. from the aggressive, judgmental, oppressive, controlling paradigm.. May the Goddess be our guide in the Great Wheel of Life and may we always in all ways continue to choose LOVE ???
